Emberion VIS-SWIR Products
Emberion’s VIS-SWIR graphene photodetectors convert light to an electronic signal using graphene charge transducers combined with a nanocrystal light absorber. They provide superior responsivity with very low noise over a broad spectral range from visible (VIS) to near infrared/short-wave infrared (NIR/SWIR) wavelengths in room temperature operation. The dynamic range of the detectors is very large owing to the low noise and a response that does not saturate.
VIS-SWIR LINEAR Array Detector
The spectral response range (400 – 1800 nm) of each detector element extends from visible light into short-wave infrared region. The pixel size (25×500 µm2) and linear array design (512 × 1) follow the conventions of diffractive spectroscopy systems. Other potential applications lie in line-scan imaging and machine vision areas.
Emberion’s VIS-SWIR LINEAR sensor comprises a detector array monolithically built on a tailor-made CMOS read-out integrated circuit (ROIC). This manufacturing approach allows both cost-competitive pricing and higher integration level of analog and digital functionalities. The ROIC contains an analog front-end, performs analog-to-digital conversion and provides digital data output with 16 bits resolution. The ROIC enables global electronic shutter mode.
VIS-SWIR LINEAR detectors are available in a tailored metal-ceramic package. In addition to a sensor component, Emberion offers modules with HW and SW implementation for pre-processing, thermal control, power management and a digital I/O.
VIS-SWIR VGA Array Detector
Emberion’s analog VIS-SWIR VGA image detector consists of 640 × 512 photodetector elements with a 20 µm pixel pitch. The spectral response range (400 – 1800 nm) of each detector element extends from visible light into short-wave infrared region. Broad-spectrum VIS-SWIR VGA image sensor has various potential applications in the fields of hyperspectral imaging and night and machine vision.
VIS-SWIR VGA image sensor comprises a detector array monolithically built on a tailor-made CMOS readout integrated circuit (ROIC). This manufacturing approach allows both cost-competitive component pricing and convenient integration of the sensor component into imaging systems such as camera cores. The ROIC provides an analog multiplexed image data output and enables global electronic shutter.
In addition to the image sensor component, Emberion offers imaging modules with HW and SW implementation for analog-to-digital conversion, image pre-processing, thermal control, power management and a digital camera interface.
