Our team has extensive skills and experience in nanotechnologies, graphene, and other two-dimensional layered materials as well as high-performance industrial electronics.

In addition to our R&D team consisting of nearly 30 experts, Emberion’s efforts are led by a strong and experienced management team. We operate from two R&D hotspots in Europe: Espoo, Finland and Cambridge, UK. Cambridge division has an extensive experienced team developing our sensors using nanomaterials with a state of art clean room and pilot production line. Espoo Division has been designing the electronics, CMOS ROIC, integrating and characterising the sensor and camera.

Originally a spinoff from Nokia, Emberion was co-founded in 2016 by its employees and Verso Capital, a Finnish venture capital company. The Chairman of Emberion’s board is Mr. Anssi Kariola, Managing Partner at Verso Capital.
