Emberion is a leading-edge deep technology company that is about to bring its first high-performance infrared camera products to the market. We are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to serve our European industrial machine vision customer base.
Emberion designs and produces high-performance infrared imagers and cameras based on nanomaterials and in-house designed CMOS integrated circuits. Our primary products are imaging arrays and camera cores for visible light to shortwave infrared imaging (VIS-SWIR). The first product Emberion will offer is a VIS-SWIR camera core that incorporates our novel VGA array and provides excellent performance for a competitive price. The key performance differentiator of the product is the wide spectral range from 400 to 2000 nm captured with a single imaging array.
Emberion also works on other products, including MWIR and wide spectral range sensor technologies. Our background is at Nokia Technologies and we spun-off as an independent SME in 2016. Today we employ some 27 people in two locations: Espoo, Finland and Cambridge, UK. We also collaborate closely with both major industrial companies and top-notch research organizations.
Emberion already has a wide customer base that we have been interacting with for several years to ensure our products are relevant to their applications and systems. We also have had an active presence at various trade fairs such as Vision, Photonics West and LaserWorldOfPhotonics.
About the role
We are now looking for a Sales Manager to sell our novel VIS-SWIR-cameras to European industrial machine vision customers. We are providing our products to wide range of machine vision companies from hyperspectral camera manufacturers to industrial sorting and inspection system integrators. Key applications we target are recycling industry and food value chain from farm to fork. You will be in charge of managing independently the accounts with the support of whole Emberion organization. This includes all sales steps from lead identification to maintaining the ongoing customer relationship. The key people supporting you include product managers and technical customer service engineers.
You will also be in a key role through your market and customer understanding in defining Emberion’s future products and target markets and applications. You will also participate in events beyond European machine vision industry to interact with wider group of customers.
The location is negotiable, but ideally in Central Europe or alternatively at either of our offices in Finland or UK. The role requires frequent travelling to customer locations within Europe.
You are a seasoned sales professional with experience on dealing with European machine vision customer base and understand both the customer needs and typical application requirements. You are experienced in consultative camera sales to industrial machine vision customers and know the potential industrial customers, have existing contacts and understanding of their requirements and purchasing process. You also have experience on dealing with machine vision expert distributors.
Ideally you also understand hyper/multispectral systems and their further integration into industrial systems as well as have at least some experience on SWIR (InGaAs) cameras and their market requirements. Also understanding of recycling and food chain application requirements is a very valuable asset in this role. We also appreciate experience on using CRM-tools, as we have deployed Salesforce as our CRM-backbone.
In addition to fluent English, additional major European languages (e.g. French or German) are an asset in this role. You have a suitable degree for the role.
